Telling good stories at TV or radio needs ideas, emotion, artistic skills... but a bit of technical background too. Among rich sound ambiences and music parts, the dialog intelligibility can be truly affected. Today, consumers deal with many different sound reproduction devices, from smartphones to theatre big screens, from sound bars to wireless earpods...
Thanks to the participation of France TV Studio, producer of the documentary « Ours, simplement sauvage » ("Bear, simply wild") directed by Vincent Munier et Laurent Joffrion and the France 2 daily soap « Un Si Grand Soleil » ("Chronicles Of The Sun"), we offer you a personal experience focused on dialog intelligibility.
We do thank these two productions for their contribution to this statistical study, especially because of their care of the soundtrack. Depending on your answers, you will hear different short excerpts that we made artificially more or less intelligible. Your collected answers will help us better understanding the different listening situations, for the benefits of our future productions.
